GROUP GUIDE

A SUCCESSFUL GROUP:

  • Meets regularly for 1 hour
  • Has at least 2 people
  • Does not have more than 6 people
  • Has one person designated as "contact"
  • Focuses on Scripture, confession, and prayer for others
  • Is considered successful when 2 group members leave the group and start a new one

WHEN YOU MEET:

COMMUNE WITH GOD IN SILENCESpend 3-5 minutes in silence. Listen to God’s voice.
INVEST TIME IN SCRIPTUREBefore arriving: Read your chosen chapters, looking for things that challenge or inspire you. If you have a paper Bible, underline or circle these parts.

Together: Watch your companion video (if applicable).
REFLECT ON GOD'S WORD TOGETHERDiscuss the Scripture together:
·      What stood out to you?
·      What challenged or confused you?
·      How will you respond? Be practical.
CONFESS TO ONE ANOTHER WITH TRUTH & GRACEShare with one another.
·      How have you been pursuing Jesus?
·      How have you been resisting Jesus?
·      How can I pray for you?
LISTEN FOR THE SPIRIT'S LEADINGSpend 2-3 minutes in prayerful silence, asking God to reveal someone in your circle of influence to pray for.
EXPRESS YOUR HEART FOR YOUR CIRCLE OF INFLUENCE THROUGH PRAYERPray for this person by name with your inner circle. Note: Do not spend time before-hand explaining why you’re praying for this person. Instead, pray your requests out loud.
